Jürgen Schauber’s review: Psoriasis vulgaris is associated with various comorbidities such as diabetes or atherosclerosis – diseases in which chronic inflammation plays a significant role. Signaling mediators such as chemokines may contribute to the systemic inflammation associated with this increased risk of comorbidities. In this study, Ekman and colleagues investigated circulating chemokine levels in patients with psoriasis, and the relationship of these chemokines with disease severity.
