Recently, there has been much interest and research in the relationship between diabetes and sexual dysfunction. Male erectile dysfunction, defined by the US National Institutes of Health as “an inability of the male to achieve an erect penis as part of the overall multifaceted process of male sexual function”, has a particularly strong epidemiological connection with diabetes.
