GH Treatment (non-GH Deficient Indications)

Bannink EM, van der Palen RL, Mulder PG et al.

Erasmus Medical Center, Sophia Children’s Hospital, Rotterdam, The Netherlands.

 Horm Res 2009;71:336–42.

Editor’s note: Evidence of a long-term impact of growth hormone (GH) treatment in girls with Turner syndrome on any parameter other than initial height (and a possible associated psychological benefit) continues to be sought. Previous studies have shown no convincing overall benefit in terms of body proportions, body mass index (BMI), or metabolic parameters.
