A randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled, dose-ranging study of oral sildenafil citrate in treatment-naïve children with pulmonary arterial hypertension.

Barst RJ, Ivy DD, Gaitan G et al.
The topic of this study is very interesting, because pediatric pulmonary hypertension (PH) is an important cause of morbidity and mortality. However, although many drugs are approved for adult pulmonary arterial hypertension (PAH), no therapy is yet approved for children. Currently, limited data suggest benefits for children utilizing the drugs approved for adults.
