Gerard Espinosa’s review: Pulmonary arterial hypertension (PAH) is one of the leading causes of death in patients with systemic sclerosis (SSc). Therefore, the early diagnosis of this potentially severe clinical manifestation is important. Until now, there had not been any evidence-based recommendations to screen for PAH in patients with connective tissue disease (CTD) in general or in those with SSc specifically.
